RED BALL – Technical Language
In this section, we focus on "sticky" language for red ball stage tennis to help children with technical improvements.

RED BALL – Support Skills
These exercises help to support the technical foundation of stroke production.

RED BALL – Rally Regress Strategies
I believe that anyone can rally - you just need to re-frame your definition of the word rally! Here are the 10 regress strategies to help you rally with your young players.

RED BALL – Progress Catching Strategies
Tennis is a game of sending and receiving. Learning how to catch is as important as hitting the ball because it helps children to track the bounce of a ball ultimately helping them get in position.

RED BALL – Tactical & Tournament Activities
At the red stage, consistency, direction and giving the players two decisions is important. For these tactically based tournament ideas, we use dice, cards, pegs and bean bags to score and gamifiy.

ORANGE BALL – Technical Language
In this section, we focus on "sticky" language for orange ball stage tennis to help children with technical improvements.

ORANGE BALL – Support Skills
These exercises help to support athletic development and technical foundation skills.

ORANGE BALL – Tactical Activities
At the orange stage, we want to encourage the children to fall in love with the shape of the court and to problem-solve with three decisions, e.g. "rally", "attack" or "defend".

GREEN BALL – Technical Language
In this section, we focus on "sticky" language for green ball stage tennis to help players with technical improvements.

GREEN BALL – Support Skills
These exercises help to support athletic development and technical foundation skills.

GREEN BALL – Tactical Activities
We want the children to have better self-awareness of their game style and to focus their attention on the opponent. Open questions are encouraged to help develop problem-solving skills.

OUTRO
CONGRATS on making through the U10 Foundation Course. I hope you enjoyed the technical and tactical tips to engage players and help them choose tennis as one of their life long sports.
