About Course

ACE Tennis for Kids – Green Book is the final piece of this U12 pathway filled with engaging and practical activities showing you how to play tennis with children aged approximately 9-12 years.

 

The activities are designed to improve children’s coordination and, parents’ and coaches’ communication skills. Movement for children is an essential foundation for a healthy lifestyle and improved levels of co-ordination in children builds self-esteem leading to greater confidence.

 

Parents often ask the question “What can I do at home to help to support the weekly tennis session?” The following fun activities can provide creative solutions to this question. The content includes language tips and covers the four fundamental ingredients for success in sport: MOVEMENT / MAGIC (How to hit) / MISSION (Where to hit) & MINDSET

INTRO – The Green Book

At this stage, we begin to see very different physical changes in the body. They are becoming more skilful in the use of small muscles such as the arms, hands and feet.

Magic (Technique)

Mission (Tactical)
The goal of each of these activities is to achieve a tactical mission, in other words, the focus is understanding game styles about yourself and your opponent.

Mindset
D.E.V.E.L.O.P.M.E.N.T. is the important word for this approximate age bracket to continue to develop their game styles and realise that learning tennis is a life long journey.
